BAKING POWDER

Baking powder merupakan bahan pengembang adonan yang sifatnya mengembangkan adonan saat terkena hawa panas dari oven saat pemanggangan.
Dalam perkembangan,ada 2 jenis baking powder: 
  • yang bereaksi aktif saat tercampur dengan cairan dengan terbentuknya gas/busa didalam adonan (double acting baking powder ) 
  • yang bereaksi aktif saat proses pematangan adonan , baik dipanggang , dikukus , maupun digoreng ( single acting baking powder )
